Stereofunk White Party THIS FRIDAY @ Mega Bar, launch party to Stereofunk Festival at Strathclyde Country Park! 10 Free tickets to be given away on the night for the festival on May 2nd plus free Stereofunk cd for 1st 100 through the door. Party starts in Mega Bar from 8pm and then continous upstairs in Hype till 3am with a fine selection of 10 Stereofunk dj's.TO BE PART OF THE NIGHT, DRESS IN WHITE!

Stereofunk Festival Sunday 2nd May 2010
Back by popular demand! After the huge success of last year’s event, Stereofunk returns to Strathclyde Park for the first festival of 2010 and it’s bigger and better than ever.
Alongside the usual line up of Scotland’s finest DJ talent, we have some of the best tribute bands in the business and a fine selection of Scotland’s top unsigned bands who are heading to the top.
Headlining the main stage is the best tribute band around, the Complete Stone Roses. Supporting them are the fantastic Kings of Lyon who are guaranteed to take the main stage by storm. Hopefully this year the dance floor will be the only place getting invaded!
In the main Stereofunk arena we have “We Love Space” resident Jem Haynes. Jem has been rocking Space, Ibiza for many years and now you’ll get the chance to experience the hot Balearic beats of the White Isle in our very own back yard at Strathclyde Park .
In the Old Skool tent, the king of old skool himself, George Bowie of Clyde 1’s GB Experience will be doing his thing. Expect classics, dance and trance all day long taking you back to the good old days.
In the ZooTech Tent there will be prides of lions, a herd of zebras and, with any luck, a flock of birds getting down to the techno beats of DJs from Alternative,Bitch, Debauched and Jama. Stereofunkers are however warned not to feed the animals. Anyone found doing so shall be put in a cage and forced to listen to the new Jedward single.
Special guest is Rebecca Vasmant, a resident of the Zoo Project Ibiza.
VIPs can expect Moet & Chandon, table service, a cocktail of sunshine house, chilled out disco and stereod-funk with a cherry on the top - not forgetting their very own porcelain thrones….Headlining is the legendary Bob Jeffries from the Southport Weekender, closely followed by the anchorman of L107, the man who introduced Hed Kandi to Scotland… Starky.
Whatever you’re into, it’s sure to be a day of quality, unpretentious, cutting edge beats and an intimate festival vibe that is second to none. There really is something for everyone.
Free pair of pants for the first 100 people. Watch out for magicians, zookeepers, stilt walkers, fire eaters, live dancers, massive sound systems , laser shows, confetti cannons and celebrity guests not forgetting the customary gnomes, the odd sheep and a paddling pool or two...... |
